Hot, steaming Notting Hill Carnival 20 years ago. I remember feeling my stomach vibrate with the boom of the bass of the sound systems. I squeezed through the mass of sweaty bodies to get right up close with my 28mm to the jiggling, tassel twirling dancers, caught up in the pulsating rhythm. I too was taken in the flow and soon melted into the parade. This was great! I had a great big Metz attached to a little Minolta, shooting on reversal. Rewinding the film, I realised then that I should attempt my first cross process. What better subject to try it on!
